چکیده

The cardiogram of mitral stenosis, with emphasis on right ventricular hypertrophy and P wave changes before and after mitral valvotomy has been studied previously by Mounsey (1957) and by Rodriguez Torres et al. (1959). Cardiographic evidence of right ventricular hypertrophy that recurred after valvotomy and increased when restenosis occurred has been presented by Wilcken (1960). The present study elaborates the cardiographic changes before and after mitral valvotomy and at the time of diagnosis of restenosis.

Effect of mitral valvular regurgitation on transthoracic impedance cardiogram.

Mitral valvular regurgitation consistently modified the wave form of the first derivative of the transthoracic impedance cardiogram. The transthoracic impedance cardiogram was recorded in 23 control subjects (group 1), and 23 patients with isolated mitral regurgitation (group 2). Simultaneous transthoracic impedance cardiogram, electrocardiogram, and mitral valve echocardiograms in group 1 show...

Relation between apex cardiogram and changes in left ventricular pressure and dimension.

The relation between the apex cardiogram and changes in left ventricular pressure measured by micromanometer, and dimension measured by echocardiography, was studied in 12 normal subjects and 64 patients with heart disease. In 12 patients, the apex cardiogram was delayed with respect to simultaneous left ventricular pressure by 17 +/- 18 ms during the upstroke and 28 +/- 16 ms during the downst...

The Normal Apex Cardiogram Its Temporal

T HE apex cardiogram was described in 1878 by Marey.' Technical difficulties in its recording have obstructed its more universal application and, more particula...

The value of left parasternal impulse recordings in the assessment of mitral regurgitation.

Left parasternal cardiograms were recorded at the fifth intercostal space in 30 patients with mitral regurgitation. Early systolic outward movements (E), late systolic outward movements (LOM), and the ratio of the LOM area to the total area occupied by the left parasternal cardiogram (LPC area) were examined. Thirteen patients had pure mitral regurgitation due to ruptured chordae tendineae (ten...
